    Please remember the Holy Month of Ramadan for 2012 is expected to commence on approximately 19th July and will continue until 19th August 2012. Throughout the day the serving of alcohol will be restricted and bars will only be open from dusk. There will be no live entertainment. Please remember to respect local customs: do not eat, drink or smoke in public places during the daylight hours and dress sensibly. **Hotel policy during Ramadan** *Shopping malls and shops will usually open during the evenings as they will not be operating normal business hours. *Smoking, eating and drinking is not allowed in public areas before sundown. *In respect to the Holy Month of Ramadan, it is requested that everyone must be appropriately clothed when in the lobby area, restaurants and especially when outside the hotel. Shoulder less dresses or shorts should not be worn. However, in the pool area, swimsuits can be worn but topless sun bathing is not allowed. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is not allowed for Muslims. Live entertainment is not allowed. Please find below the Food and Beverage schedule during this period. • Alcoholic beverages can be served in the guest rooms to non Muslims • Restaurants will operate as normal, however, alcoholic beverages will be served only after 7:30PM and until 1AM, and only if taken with the dinner meal • The Kasbar which is the Hotel night club will be closed during the whole Ramadan Month • In the Lobby Lounge, only fruit cocktails and Arabic sweets will be served in the enclosed area before sundown • The pool bar will serve non alcoholic beverages, open daily from 10AM to 6PM During the Holy Month of Ramadan, it is a different and interesting time to be in Dubai to experience the culture of the people.   • Building Work and Renovations

    All over Dubai there are development projects taking place particularly behind and around the Beach hotels in Jumeira and Jebel Ali. Please note that all the construction sites are working 24hrs a day. ***Please be advised that the main swimming pool is scheduled for some maintenance work between 10th June until 10th July 2012.*** Work will be carried out during day-time hours and all rooms with near proximity to the main pool will be closed. Guests will be accommodated on the opposite wing of the Palace Hotel to the main swimming pool and in-house shuttle transfers to the Arabian Court pool will be arranged. Guests will also receive unlimited access to the Aquaventure facilities located at Atlantis, Dubai and can also continue to enjoy the 1 kilometre stretch of private beach. Gold Club Guests will receive their privileges within either the Palace Lobby Bar and Lounge or alternatively within The Arabian Court elegant Samovar Club Lounge.
